Campaigns - Shocking Reality of Street Life - girls and boys turning to prostitution to survive.

It is estimated that 250,000 street children in the North East of Brazil have been forced into the child sex trade by parents desperate to escape poverty. Children as young as 13 years old will sleep with up to 10 clients a night to feed their drug addiction. Happy Child has set up a "Donate Now Button" with a link to Just Giving for our appeal to raise money to help rescue and give a new life to some of these children. We have opened a house to help the boys and now desperately need to help the girls with a similiar house in Recife.

Many people give to charity by way of a one-off gift.  The help we give street children is not a one-off matter.  We have to provide for these destitute children constantly – you could too.  All it takes is for you to sign up by Standing Order for as little as £3, £5 or £10 per month.  Your help will go towards ensuring that we can give them a safe place to live, education and support through the trauma of neglect and abandonment suffered by thousands of children.  Please sign up and be counted now!
