Co ordinator for Case Lar Enseada

My name is Alexsandro Santos. I was born in Rio de Janeiro. I am married and am 26 years old.

For a while I served in the Military Police. There I learned to value my family and respect authority. In the church I learned to love my neighbour.

I moved to Belo Horizonte from Rio and my wife was already working for Happy Child. This is how I got to know the work and how I started as a volunteer. I did this for four years on my days off. I fell in love with the work.

Today I am part of this very large family. I co ordinate Casa Lar Enseada. The work is not easy. We face many struggles and difficulties but I have seen the grace and victory of God with us so many times.

It is a privilege to work with the children who come to us with no knowledge of God. We teach them about love and forgiveness. Here slowly we watch many of them begin to release all the hate and anger that they feel for the families. Deep wounds are healed.

When I teach a child the word of God I am marking a generation with his stamp. When I teach a child to write a letter of the alphabet I tell myself this child may become a Doctor or an Engineer.

This is how God is using me to bring his Kingdom to these little ones. All the money in the world couldn’t buy the satisfaction of seeing a child transformed by God. It is very satisfying indeed.
