Fabio

10 years old

Fabio’s Mum had 4 children. She lived in a dirty broken down shack. Her children were very hungry and she would give them ‘dog food’ to eat.

Today she is on her own, sick, alcoholic and wandering the streets. Fabio and his brothers and sisters were eventually sent to Happy Child as their mother could no longer look after them.

2 of Fabio’s brothers and sisters have already been adopted. He is still waiting and constantly asks ‘Why doesn’t anyone want me?, why doesn’t anyone like me?’ He feels like the left over child, the one left out.

Fabio is hyperactive but his greatest dream is to have a family.

A letter from Fabio

Dear Friends

My name is Fabio Jose and I am ten years old.

I remember when I lived with my Mum and my brothers and sisters. When I first came to Happy Child I lived in a house in the city. Now I am living on the Happy Child farm in the countryside. I really like it here.

At school I am in year one. I like sports and playing games with my friends.

When I grow up I would like to have my own family.
