Happy Child’s Farm for Boys and Teenagers
The Happy Child Farm is set in the hills of Belo Horizonte 25 km outside the city centre.
It is a long term restoration centre for street boys and boys who have been at high risk in their family units and communities. They are all between 6 and 18 years old.The Farm can receive 20 boys in total and it aims to address all the needs of the hurting child. We do this through a structured programme of education where the boys attend school locally and are supported by our staff with homework. We encourage the boys to do arts and crafts, animal husbandry and horticultural activities. There is a carpentary workshop where the boys make items to sell to the general public. These activities help in a very practical way to restore the child’s lost sense of self esteem and worth.

Fabio’s Mum had 4 children. She lived in a dirty broken down shack. Her children were very hungry and she would give them ‘dog food’ to eat.
