The Happy Child Training Course

It is the dedication and professionalism of our staff that makes Happy Child different and we place high importance on developing their skills and capabilities. We encourage our supporters to experience direct engagement with our field staff, for example training courses for volunteers.

Training Course for Christian Social Educators

The course programme includes both theory and practice. It applies biblical principles to the activities of the Christian social worker, concepts on childhood and adolescence, a legal basis (the study of the ECA - The Statute of the Child and Adolescent), issues about sexual abuse, domestic violence, drugs and child evangelism, etc.

The practical focus allows the student to participate in stages of Happy Child´s programme which include street work, socio - educational activities taking place in the units and family visits. The students also have opportunities to visit other NGO´s in our city. After this experience the students are challenged to develop their own social projects for addressing children and young people at risk.
