Wellington
12 years old
Wellington is 12 years old and came to Happy Child in 2003. His parents were alcoholics and lived on the streets of Belo Horizonte. Last year his Mother died and he is now an orphan
Wellington and his four sisters all lived on the streets and passed through various institutions before coming to us. Today Wellington lives on the Farm.
The Happy Child psychologist says Wellington is making good progress. He is at school and since being with us his social skills have improved significantly.
Wellington’s greatest desire is to be placed in an adopted family.
A letter from Wellington
Dear Friend
My name is Wellington and I am 12 years old. I was born in Belo Horizonte. I lived on the streets because my parent’s house burnt down. I was eventually sent to live in a shelter for one year. My grandmother died and I managed to find my mother on the streets.
Me and one of my sisters, Nubia, live with Happy Child now. I live on the Farm and Nubia lives in the teenagers’ home.
I enjoy many activities on the Farm. I want to take advantage of this and the life I have been given to be a good caring man. I am in the 4th year of school and I really like maths. I have many dreams. I would like to live with my sisters, and who knows maybe find a step mother.
I pray that Jesus the man who died on the cross for me, blesses you.
A big hug
