Writing or updating your will is an important personal decision.  It is an opportunity to decide what will happen to your estate after your death and it can bring peace of mind to know that you have provided for family, friends and charities that are important to you.

Your legacy will help us empower vulnerable children and young people

Our work with local church based partners has been instrumental in promoting change and transformation for over 12,000 vulnerable children and young people in Brazil for almost 31 years. The loyal giving and engagement of our supporters have enabled us to do this

Larissa’s story

"I am so grateful and happy to have been accepted on the Mentoring and Training Skills Programme as it has given me the chance to better myself and help my family. I could not have achieved as much as I did if it wasn’t for this important help and work. The programme has not only encouraged me, but has also taught me many new things. Now I am registered for an the apprenticeship with a local company called Gerdau. Here I will learn all about Industrial Mechanics and hopefully this will help me find a permanent job."

Your legacy means that we can continue to forge ahead with our vital work, running community based projects and schemes such as the Mentoring and Skills Training Programme, which enables young people to find jobs, start businesses and earn an income. We want to thank everyone who has been part of the journey with us.  

There are 3 different ways to leave Happy Child a gift in your will:


Option

1

A residuary legacy is a share or a percentage of your estate after all other payments and specific gifts have been made and is ideal for charities as it keeps up with inflation.  


Option

2

A pecuniary legacy is a gift of a specific sum of money.  The value of this type of legacy will decrease over time as the cost of living increases in the future.  Your solicitor may be able to index link your gift.  


Option

3

 A specific legacy is a gift of an individual item such as a piece of jewellery, or other property.
