A Joyous Celebration with Young Mums participating in Project Gathering

This week young Mums with Project Gathering met up for a special celebration where there was a feeling of joy, sharing and unity.

Earlier in the year the Giving Hands Network, in partnership with Happy Child International, organised a very special prayer initiative. Mums were able to express  their prayer requests for themselves and their babies.  Today they physically received back some bespoke prayers prayed for  by some of the Happy Child International supporters.   This was a simple gesture from the supporters but it had so much meaning and impact for the mums.

The Mums also had a time of reflection with Psychologist Isla and the challenges of being a good Mum, the importance of self-care and of each Mum envisaging a life full of possibilities and hope for the future..

The work of Project Gathering is life transforming for these Mums.  Project Gathering is building better futures for these young vulnerable mums and their babies.

Julia:  “ To receive these cards fills me with joy.  To know that there are people praying for me and my baby is just amazing.  This is something I will not forget”

Nayane: “I am very happy to know that someone on the other side of the world is praying for me and my daughter.  It gives me a feeling of love that warms my heart”

Dorlice: “ I am so pleased to have received the prayers from the supporters who prayed for me and my baby.  This has brought peace and joy to my heart”
