In 2025, the work of Happy Child International continued to open doors, restore dignity and create real opportunities for children, young people and families across our partner projects in Brazil.

 Mentoring and Skills Training Project 2025

The demand for opportunity continues to grow.

In 2025:

Of those employed, 9 trainees began salaried apprenticeships with Gerdau Long Steel SA, a significant step toward long-term career development.

We were also incredibly proud that a small team from our 2024 cohort won 3rd place in the 2025 National Junior Achievement Competition for Young Entrepreneurs — a powerful reminder that when young people are equipped with skills and confidence, they thrive.

This project is not just about employment. It is about restoring belief in the future.

 Project Ammar Transforma

Ammar Transforma continues to serve some of the most vulnerable families in the community.

In 2025:

Behind these numbers are stories of perseverance, healing and hope. Education, healthcare and spiritual formation are working together to strengthen families from the inside out.

Project Gathering – Supporting Young Mums

Project Gathering continues to walk alongside young mothers, offering practical and emotional support.

In 2025:

Education and employment pathways also advanced:

• 3 mums returned to education and completed their GCSEs

• 4 are continuing their education

• 2 secured employment through the young apprenticeship scheme (Laissa and Emelly)

• 1 mum, Simone, launched her own micro-business after completing a make-up training with Boticário, who provided her with a grant to begin home sales

Project Tamandaré – Digital Skills for the Future

Preparing young people for a digital world remains essential.

From January to July 2025:

This project equips teenagers with practical digital skills, confidence and vision for future employment opportunities.
