Happy Child International and the team closed 2023 with our House of Commons 30th Anniversary Fundraising Dinner on the 7th of December. To celebrate this mile stone we hosted 70 faithful and loyal supporters in the illustrious Members Dining Room, Palace of Westminster. Our fundraising activities on the night raised over £15,000 to support important projects impacting children and young people from low income communities in Recife, north east Brazil. These projects are making a significant difference to children and young people in the region through education and skills training as well as by targeting early pregnancy prevention. www.happychild.org
We hope that those of you who attended thoroughly enjoyed yourselves and will take pleasure from the auction prizes you bid for such as balloon riding, Tea at the House of Commons with our Patron Sir Paul Beresford and holidays in the sun in Portugal and Spain to name but a few of the lots. Thank you all so much for your generous giving which enabled us to reach our fundraising target.
