Both at home and out on the streets, the impoverished children of Recife are exposed to the rain, both the water that comes from the sky and the threats to their well-being that seem to trickle down incessantly.
They need to get out of the rain!
In March, John Doddrell, our chair of the board of directors, visited one of several communities that receive help from Happy Child International.
The floods caused by the swell of rivers crisscrossing the city invaded their homes with filthy water in February. They had already subsided. But other threats to the children’s well-being persisted.
Watch John Dolddrell’s comments as he walked through the community known as Sapo Nu.
→ I want to help those who help get the children out of the rain. Take me to the right page!
